Kite waste bin awarded with Red Dot Award and German Design Award

A modular recycling bin designed by Annica Doms. Awarded the Red Dot Design Award and the German Design Award for its innovative form. Designed for modular building in different constellations. Kite fits against a wall or as a free-standing accent in the room. The many combination possibilities challenge the imagination and inspire creativity. Lid in eight different designs with varying hole designs and screen-printed symbol for different types of waste. Kite is available in eleven RAL colors with lids in two standard colors. Kite holds 70 liters, adapted for waste bags of 85-125 liters.

Sustainability and materials

CO2 per unit 58.2 kg CO2 eq. The lid’s MDF meets the formaldehyde requirements E1 and TSCA Title VI / CARB2. MDF from certified forestry. The frame in powder-coated steel plate is manufactured in Sweden and consists of 20% of recycled material. The steel is 100% recyclable. The powder coating of the frame is a good environmental choice as no solvents are required.
